Background

Celia Judge received a BFA in Painting and Education from Massachusetts College of Art. From her studio, she has taught both children and adults. Celia's avid interest in painting led her to workshops studying watercolor, pastel, oil, egg tempera and gold leaf. Among those were workshops in the Boston school of Painting with Robert Cormier and Robert Douglas Hunter, portraiture with Daniel Greene and watercolor with David Land , Ruth Wynn and Joseph Santoro. Celia also studied oil and gold leaf with George Degalis. Celia, capturing moments of her day, brings her own style of color and light to the canvas.

When Celia is not painting, she enjoys gardening,, running, soccer, dancing and reading. Travel and new vistas are also an interest. She lives with her husband Jim, two daughters Juli and Neha, her dog Riley and two cats, Sunshine and Cleo.

Celia is a member of the Copley Society of Artists, the oldest art association in America, where she received the Yankee Sagendotph award. She has also received many awards and prizes from Arts Wayland, Concord and Wellesley Art Associations.
